Florida Athlete Receives a UK Offer

According to Chris Nee, Andy Garcia has stated that he holds a scholarship offer from the University of Kentucky football coaching staff. UK has had a busy couple of months in Florida and it appears that it is likely to continue. Garcia is a 5’11, 165 lb athlete out of Hialeah HS in Hialeah, Florida. He also holds offers from Vanderbilt, Marshall and Florida International. Kentucky signed only two Floridians in last year’s class, but that is only expected to increase. Below are Andy’s highlights.

Another FL DB Gets a UK Offer

According to Jeff Drummond, Chris Bivins out of Gainesville HS in Gainesville, Florida has received an offer from the Kentucky Wildcats. The 5’11, 170 lb Bivins also holds offers from Arkansas, South Florida, South Carolina and more. Chris marks at least the twenty-eighth scholarship offer to Florida prospects; a territory that has been mined harder than ever by the Kentucky coaching staff. Expect more over the next couple of weeks. I was told earlier that Coach Nord among others grabbed some film to evaluate on their excursion to the heart of Florida.

UK Visits Jersey Shore

Devin Fuller is a recruit with over twenty-five scholarships offers. He hails from Westwood, New Jersey. Fuller is a 6 foot, 185 lb athlete who also holds offers from Florida State, Alabama, Miami (FL), Notre Dame, Penn State, South Carolina, Michigan and more. New Jersey isn’t a recruiting ground that Kentucky frequents. In fact, the last UK football player from New Jersey, Shomari Moore, committed in 2004.

  • In other news, OH WR Allen Gant, has committed to play for the University of Michigan Wolverines.
  • Kipp Adams reports that GA RB Mike Hilton will visit UK on June 17th for one of their Blue Lights Camps. I would assume that at least teammate OT Will Adams attends with him.

Coach Nord Checks Out Ocoee High School (FL)

Ocoee HS’s head football coach let me know that Coach Nord stopped by his high school and grabbed tape of some of his seniors and juniors. Nord took back film and will begin evaluating the following seniors: DE Trevor Keith, LB Justin Buckles and LB Lorin Newham. He also took film of a few junior Knights: DE D’Shrr Barron and LB Rohan Hylton.

FL DE Claims Offer and Names Favorite

Julian Leslie is a 6 foot 4, 215 lb defensive end out of Coral Reef HS in Miami, Florida. According to Rivals.com’s Steve Jones, Leslie received the offer from UK defensive line coach, David Turner, on Sunday night and did not hesitate to name Kentucky his leader. Defensive line is always a recruiting priority and the Cats are making a big impact on some guys early on.  Julian also holds offers from Florida Atlantic and Tulane. Don’t let his offer sheet fool you though.
